The MailChimp OpenSocial plugin allows you to quickly and easily add your MailChimp signup form as a widget on your profile page for many popular sites that support Opensocial. Total setup time should be less than 5 minutes - absolutely everything can be done online through the apps configuration interface - no coding necessary!

Currently we have tested it on 3 services:

MySpace

MySpace has graciously listed us in their App Gallery, so you can find us there, too. You can also see this in action on our API Team's MySpace profile.
To install the App on your MySpace profile, follow these simple instructions:

  1. Login to your MySpace Profile.
  2. Go to our application's profile and click the "Add this App" button
  3. The app will quickly install and take you to the configuration page.
  4. Enter your username & password (we do not save them), then select your list, and customize it as you'd like.
  5. That's it!

Ning

Ning has also graciously listed us in their App Gallery, so you can find us there, too. Currently the Ning version will only install and work in your Member profiles - we are working on a way to allow you to install something similar on the main page of your Ning network. For now you may just want to grab our form integration code.

Orkut

We tested it, and it works, but unfortunately Orkut currently says that this app is not "socially" enough to be listed in their App Gallery, which means that they won't let you install it. Bummer. Feel free to encourage them to allow our app to at least be installed.
