Features
Social Integrations for Easy Sharing
MailChimp is full of social features and integrations that make is super easy to share across your network and encourage subscribers to do the same. Why should you care? Including social share links in your emails increases the reach and click rate of your campaign (according to this industry benchmark study). Best of all, all of our social integrations and features are free to all MailChimp customers.
Twitter Integration
We’ve made it super simple to connect MailChimp with Twitter, allowing you to automatically tweet a link to your campaign as soon as you hit the send button.
One-click Social Share
Once you've sent a campaign, return to your campaign dashboard and click on the 'social share' link next to the email you'd like to share. Then just pick the network you want, enter your account information for that network and bam, you're done.
Twitter Template
Now you can include your twitter profile in your email campaign with our special Twitter Template. The template pulls your twitter profile picture and info, along with your most recent tweets, into your campaign side bar. You subscribers will get a taste of what your twitter presence is like and can click to follow you right from their email.
Tweet Tracking
One reason it is so easy to share your campaigns with MailChimp is because we automatically shorten the link to your campaign archive with our eepurl link shortener. And since we've got our own unique link shortener, we can track who is tweeting and retweeting your campaign. Our twitter stats show you how many times your campaign has been tweeted or retweeted and by whom.
Social Share Merge Tag
Like we said before, it is very important to add social icons into your email campaigns. MailChimp makes that easy with our Social Share Merge Tags. Instead of having to go grab icons and links individually for sites like Twitter, Digg and LinkedIn, you can just add *|MC:SHARE |* wherever you’d like your social links to appear. You can also include just a few social icons using this Merge Tag pattern - *|SHARE:network1, network2, network3|*. So if you just want to show icons for Facebook, Twitter and Digg you would type *|SHARE:facebook, twitter, digg|* and only those icons will show up.
