That is hilarious Ben. Stock quotes would really get the suites going. (Accept for the time beeing anyways) The “shutting ut the chimp” feature could come in handy in the situation Neil is describing though.

@Neil – We’ve discussed this. Want you to know we totally understand your situation, and are thinking about it. It’s honestly very low on our priority list to “turn off the funny” but we’re thinking about offering a checkbox in your account settings called “party poopers are watching” or something (funny) like that, which would just make MailChimp say, “Welcome to MailChimp, Neil.” Hmm, maybe he can say something businessy instead? Like random stock quotes? Feel free to submit some un-funny quotes too.

sorry to be the party pooper, but I still want the option to turn this off! Demo’ing the site to the suits that pay the bills is made much more difficult when there is a cartoon monkey making comments about my clothing! The suits find it hard to take the site seriously….
