Hi Dimitris,

Yes, v3 will support Unicode character sets. Your campaigns will support it better, and you can use Unicode on the signup process (signup forms, thank you pages, and anywhere you have the ability to enter your own content).

Internationalizing MailChimp is a work in progress, and it's going to take time to get it 100% there (and to do it right). But we're working on it!

The new features looks great. Looking forward to it.

I was wondering. Have you added support for unicode character sets? We use Greek all the time and most aspects of the products do not support it. That would be really appreciated!

I hope the migration goes well!

Cheers!

Sam, maybe you missed our alert:

We're shooting for mid-May (up and running on the 19th). Migration of 7 years of customer data is the big challenge right now.

Yes, the screencast is nice, but what I'm really excited about are these more robust ways of dealing with lists and contacts. That's the single biggest weakness of the current Chimp and I'm thrilled to see you addressing it. Way to be on the ball!

Also very much looking forward to Tarzan, especially the graphical reports and the snazzy new dash.

I signed up a couple days ago and I was impressed with just your average old monkey....looking forward to my rendezvous with Tarzan himself.

PS...am I the only girl here?

Thanks, Don! I was actually putting together a more lengthy "how-to" for our video demos. They're getting more attention from our web designer audience than the actual MailChimp upgrade. Ha!

Screenflow lets me do what I've always wanted since starting MailChimp in 2001---produce "TV quality" movie demos (with cuts, transitions, zooms, pans, callouts, etc). Basically, fast-paced, constantly-moving videos of otherwise very boring screenshots of a web app.

In addition to Screenflow, I did some trickery with Spaces (multiple desktops) and iMovie (for editing and transitions) to make our teaser video (the one with music).

I'll post some tips shortly. Working out the content right now.

I'm seriously looking forward to this MailChimp update! :-)

The screengrabbing has been done with ScreenFlow (Mac-only) and is hosted on blip.tv which offers considerately better quality than the omnipresent YouTube!
