<p>ALT Text is what you see when an image is blocked in an email reader&#8217;s preview pane (<a href="http://www.mailchimp.com/blog/showcase-image-heavy-email-campaign-trick/" title="Image Heavy Email Design Trick">related story</a>). Writing alt-text that entices your recipients to click the &#8220;Turn images on&#8221; button is a real art form.</p>
