Using the  tag (although depreciated) to wrap around an image, works in most email clients and addresses the ones that strip out CSS.

Also, I recommend using the ALT &amp; TITLE attributes as well to contain the same text as entourage doesn&#039;t display the ALT tag but does display the TITLE tag where as others just display the ALT tag.
