MailChimp Campaign Stats on iPhone

MailChimp Campaign Stats on iPhone

The guys in the MailChimp Lab have just launched a mini-MailChimp for the iPhone.

MailChimp customers: just go to MailChimp.com on your iPhone and sign in (or go straight to admin.mailchimp.com), then we’ll redirect you to the iPhone version.

It’s not a fully functional MailChimp account where you can create a full blown HTML Email campaign. Think of it as “MailChimp Lite.” It’s a way for you to log in to your account, quickly check the stats (Mmmmm, pie charts) for your recent campaigns, read your “Chimp Chatter” to find out what’s going on with your email marketing, and it’s a handy way to subscribe people you meet (such as at trade shows and events) to your email lists.

When you’re logged in, you’ll see this:

  1. Click on “dashboard” to go to your Chimp Chatter. MailChimp will give you a bird’s eye view of everything that’s going on with your email marketing.
  2. Click on “reports” for a list of recent campaigns. Then, click a campaign to see its stats.
  3. Click on “subscribe” to see all your managed MailChimp lists. Then, pick a list, and you can add a subscriber to the list.

      Wahoo! This is great stuff!

How about the ability to view the campaign? No edits of course.

@Tim – Try the Yahoo widget on Windows Mobile:

We’re considering a straight MailChimp mobile site as well. This is stuff we’re tinkering with in “the lab,” so remember that it’s an elaborate excuse to play with Yahoo Blueprint, and the iPhone. But hey, that’s how cool stuff happens sometimes. :-)

      Thank you!

This is great. Looking forward to see more functionalities available on the iPhone app.

I’m loving this! Just (finally) got a new iPhone this week, so what a great surprise to see y’all have already thought of this! This is just one of the many reasons I love MailChimp.

Cool stuff. Anything for blackberry in the pipeline? Most of my sales guys have blackberry’s. i like the idea of signing up subscribers at tradeshows.

    • grace says:

It would be pretty cool if if you could use the mobile version to send a ready-to-go campaign to a list – no editing, just scheduling or sending, for when you’re waiting for the final go-ahead on a campaign.

      • Ben says:

Yeah, we’ve needed that ourselves! We’ll circle back around and update our mobile apps soon. Thanks!

    • Russell says:

Any chance of a Blackberry version?

    • gordon says:

      I love this… it’s so addictive!

    • Sean Bailey says:

Any idea on when the next update is coming? I can’t seem to get a lot of the features to work anymore?

    • Caskey Hunsader says:

This is fantastic. I just discovered MailChimp yesterday and already have a list and campaign sent out. Any chance you’re working on a more featured dedicated iPhone app?

    • Parvinder Sing. Arora says:

Can you guys add the subscribe feature in the iphone verrsion, that will be very very useful (atleast for me :) )

    • Emma Kane says:

Brilliant, I googled mailchimp app not expecting to find anything – really useful!

    • matt says:

Hi Guys…we love your service and your style…freaking hilarious AND useful!! So…where do I find the iphone app? It’s not on itunes or search able from my iphone?

Thanks! The guys at http://www.diggerslist.com send monkey love right back atcha!

      Hi there,

Thanks for making some forward movement on the iPhone platform! :) It’s nice to have a “mobile” version of the MailChimp website for the iPhone, but there are some problems with it right now. What makes this worse is that the “full” version of the MailChimp website has broken features on the iPhone as well.

      For example:

      1. Using the MOBILE version of the website, I subscribed somebody to my list by typing in their (rather lengthy) email address into the “email address” field. But once I moved onto the next field, I realized that I might have made a typo their email address. So I went back to the email address field, but it put the cursor at the BEGINNING of the email field… but the iPhone wouldn’t let me scroll to the end of the email address with my finger to see the end of the email address. This is normally possible with normal fields, but for some reason the iPhone isn’t recognizing the fields on the “mobile version” of your subscribe form as normal fields. So if an email address is too long to visually see in the field, you’ll probably just have to “select all”, delete it, and then type it again.

      2. The MOBILE version of the site doesn’t let you search your subscriber list to see if somebody already exists on your list. This is critical for me. Even worse, if you go to the FULL version of the site on the iPhone, and you try to search your list using the “search” box that appears above your list, it doesn’t work… it always yields 0 people as a result of your search. Luckily, I figured out that the “segment list” search actually DOES work on the iPhone, but that takes longer than using the “search” field.

      Thanks!
      Scott

Thanks! Great feedback that we’ll send to the iPhone dev team. Really appreciate your taking the time to tell us all this.
