Inbox Inspector enhanced with Cloudmark, Postini, Barracuda

March 7th, 2009 | by Ben

MailChimp’s Inbox Inspector add-on now includes Barracuda, Cloudmark, and Postini spam filter checking. This is really exciting news, because Postini can be vexing, Barracuda is secretive, and Cloudmark is everywhere.

      Cool.

      Any plans to add Mail.app and MobileMe inbox screen grabbing anytime soon?

    • Ben says:

      We use ReturnPath to generate these reports, and we hear they are indeed planning to add Mac screens. Mail.app and MobileMe do have some idiosyncracies, but nowhere near as many as the PC-based ones. So I’ve personally been patient with the lack of Mac based screens. But yeah—the more the better.

      If I had to choose, I’d have asked for Cloudmark and Barracuda *before* Mac based screens. So I’m really pleased with the order of things.

      Cloudmark and Barracuda are more important in terms of deliverability, and testing these yourself would cost thousands of dollars (we just spent that amt ourselves for our abuse desk):

      @Cem – sounds cool.

      For anybody else reading this, I also hear that litmusapp.com has a nice service and includes mac screens.

      (Nice to know all your options!)
