We're currently working on MailChimp v3.2. Along with a few other really cool features, we're going to have translated versions of our entire opt-in process (signup forms, welcome emails, error messages---everything) in the following languages:
Danish
Dutch
French (European)
German
Italian
Norwegian
Portuguese (Brazilian)
Spanish (Latin American)
Swedish

Email marketing experts recommend that you always ask your subscribers to "please add me to your address book" on your opt-in thank you pages and your welcome emails to prevent spam filters from blocking your emails.

We just launched a Movable Type plugin for MailChimp.
