Someone just commented on this old-ish blog post asking about Microsoft Dynamics CRM integration with MailChimp. And so that reminded me to blog about how these guys have created an integration for that. We can’t possibly evaluate every single integration with MailChimp anymore, but I’ve heard through the grapevine that this integration, is pretty well thought out. You’ll have to judge for yourself. Pretty cool that this is from a firm in Istanbul! Here’s a demo video they’ve created.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Integration with MailChimp
Friday, March 12th, 2010MailChimp in the Google Apps Marketplace
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010
Wow. This is pretty exciting news: as previously speculated by the WSJ, Google just launched their own Apps Marketplace, and MailChimp was invited to be a part of the launch! Here’s our little listing.
There’s a video over at the Official Google Apps Blog that explains how the Apps Marketplace works, and how to install new apps. Hmm, looks like a few of our friends from the Small Business Web are listed there too. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: it pays to invest in your API, fellow app developers.
We’re so excited about this because 9 years ago, we built MailChimp for our clients who were paying bloated, enterprise-sized fees for bloated, enterprise email marketing solutions. Our goal for MailChimp was to make powerful email marketing available to any business, whether big or small. And Google has that same goal with Apps. Now, to see that MailChimp is freely available with just a few clicks to roughly 2 million businesses, and 25 million users of Google Apps? Wow.
Using Flowtown With Your Email Marketing Lists
Thursday, February 25th, 2010
A while back, the folks from Flowtown contacted me about how they integrated with MailChimp via our API. To be honest, I wasn’t immediately sure how I felt about Flowtown. If you’ve never heard of them, it’s a service that lets you import an email list, then they cross-reference that data with public social profiles. I definitely understand how that can help a salesperson with a handful of local clients he wants to follow (and that scenario might even be where they got their name and logo). But what about my email marketing list of 25,000? Okay, so I can find out who among my subscribers is on Twitter and Facebook. It might even tell me who’s influential. What now? It’s not like I’m going to bug those subscribers with “more targeted emails” just because they’re “social.” I got one of those emails recently, and I can think of no better way to lose my hard earned subscribers. So I didn’t really think about this Flowtown thing much. Great for 1-to-1 sales, not so much for 1-to-many marketing.
But over time, we added engagement scoring, geotargeting, and the ability to download segments in MailChimp.
The combination of all these new tools changed my outlook completely…
Shopified Plugin for MailChimp
Sunday, February 21st, 2010
Brian Getting of Terra Firma Design has created the most awesome Shopify plugin logo ever. Or, if you’re me, the most frightening MailChimp plugin logo ever.
Either way, the logo also comes with an actual plugin that integrates MailChimp with your Shopify site. The plugin is called Chimpified, and it automatically adds customers to your MailChimp list, keeps unsubs synced across both platforms, and it takes advantage of our extremely powerful Ecommerce360 plugin to track sales and measure the ROI generated by your email campaigns.

MailChimp for the Blackberry
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010Eventbrite integration with MailChimp
Thursday, October 1st, 2009
Ever since we launched MailChimp in 2001, our customers have been asking us to build an events management tool for MailChimp.
Thing is, we’d rather focus on what we do best: making email marketing awesome. “Events” is not our specialty, so we felt we’d never be able to make it awesome enough.
Then we discovered Eventbrite, which is the best events management tool we’ve ever used. And it just so happens they also have an API.
So we’re really excited to announce that MailChimp is partnered with Eventbrite, and our services are seamlessly integrated. Build events in eventbrite, then design & deliver awesome invitations in MailChimp (and so much more).
Here’s how the integration works…
Zendesk, Zoho, Javelin, and more integrations
Tuesday, September 29th, 2009We launched MailChimp v4.3.2 last night, and are excited to announce that our list of integrations has grown (gasp, there’s a third row of logos now!):
Zendesk is an awesome help desk app, which is also part of the Small Business Web (so you can further integrate with Batchbook, Freshbooks, and more wonderful apps in the network).
Ever since we posted about our integration with Salesforce, people have been asking for Zoho, Javelin, and other CRM integrations as well. We can only integrate so fast, so it helps when other companies actually take the first step and integrate with us (our API documentation is pretty thorough). Batchbook did this, and it helped kickstart a wonderful relationship. Hint hint. Anyway, Javelin integrated with us a while back all on their own, and it impressed us. So we looked at their API and integrated right back at them. I hear they’re working on more.
Another popular request is SugarCRM, and we hear that a company is actually working on this. They’ve formed a group in the MailChimp Jungle for SugarCRM + MailChimp users. If you’re interested, you might want to give them some feedback, wishlist requests, etc.
There are a couple more exciting integrations in that screenshot, but we’ll post more details on those a little later.
Google Analytics Stats Inside MailChimp
Wednesday, August 19th, 2009
A little while ago, Google called us on the phone.
You’d think that seeing “Google, Mountain View” on your caller ID would make us pretty excited. But the truth is, it’s more of a frightening experience (along the lines of, “Oh God did we break the internet?).
Turns out it wasn’t so bad…
Formspring Integration with MailChimp
Tuesday, August 4th, 2009
I really like Formspring. Not just because they sent us a cake today. But because they just announced a very slick integration with MailChimp (and we didn’t have to lift a finger—they did all the work, using our API).
Just in case you don’t already know, Formspring is a tool that makes it extremely easy to build an online form or survey to collect data. But these forms also come with power features, like self-calculating form fields, conditional logic, and smart-routing. The other nice thing is that Formspring, like MailChimp, also integrates with Highrise and Freshbooks (see all our other integrations here), so that tracking your clients, collecting payments, and sending newsletters is all a piece of cake.
Sweet, sweet googly-moogly chocolate cake.
Here’s a video tutorial from Formspring:
* Note: their opt-in check box to confirm subscription is a really, really nice feature. Very well done.
MailChimp Integrations Dashboard
Thursday, July 23rd, 2009MailChimp integrates with a ton of applications, like Batchbook, Magento, Salesforce, Drupal, Wordpress, Freshbooks, Paypal, Wufoo and more (there’s an ever-growing at mailchimp.com/extras).
There are so many now, that managing your different integrations can be tough. So we created this new “Integrations Dashboard” under your Account page.
It’s a great birds-eye-view of all the apps you’ve linked to MailChimp, and what their status is. If you’re experiencing any issues sync’ing data with one of them, this is where you can go to diagnose.
