8 More Translations Coming for MailChimp
August 29, 2008 – 11:04 amThe entire opt-in process of your MailChimp account (the stuff your users see) has been translated into 8 more languages, and will be available in the upcoming v3.3 release (release date TBD). At the request of our customers, we’ve added:
- Greek
- Russian
- Finnish
- Polish
- Hungarian
- Romanian
- Estonian
- Ukrainian
This brings the total number of available languages in MailChimp to 24.5 (chimplish is only half a language).
When we added UTF-8 support for HTML email campaigns, and modified the signup process to make it easy to translate, our intent was to further spread the monkey love across the globe, and get more users signing on. But one pleasant surprise we’ve noticed is our current customers, who run global businesses, are now able to send even more campaigns (relevant and localized) to their international customers. They’re setting up separate lists and email templates for all their different countries. Kinda cool!

Having just started a free trial of this service I have to say I am impressed.
The scope, ease of use, and frankly it sparkles with a chimp like quality that many other email marketing programs do not offer.
And yes I have gone through the forest of such programs and climbed many a tree finally finding one that I like.
Keep up the cool work.
When I make the move to subscribe I will certainly consider MailChimp over many others.

Hi, guys
I have to tell you i am pretty much impressed with the work you have done.
I especially love your integration with magento.
Are there any possibilities adding CZECH language on the list. It would be perfect for our costumers.

Pavel, duly noted. Know any kind Czechs who’d volunteer?
