MailChimp Campaign ID TagsReport suspected spam in one easy click
Every single email campaign sent from MailChimp is tagged with a unique Campaign ID in the header. Here's what it looks like when a campaign's full headers are displayed:
The purpose of the MailChimp Campaign ID is two-fold:
The Campaign ID (CID) tells us which campaign is causing the problem, and allows us to investigate the user for violations of our terms of use. The CID contains information that allows our system to instantly remove you from the sender's list, but we do not tell the sender that you complained. It also sends an alert to our Abuse Desk so that we can investigate the sender. "How do I find the Campaign ID?"In order to see the Unique MailChimp Campaign ID, you'll need to "View Full Headers" in your email application. Since every email application is different, you'll need to refer to your help files. Usually, if you do a search for "Full email headers" or "Full message headers," you'll find the instructions you need. Other Anti-Spam Resources:
