Programmer
MailChimp is looking for a self-motivated programmer who cares about performance and creating powerful tools that are fun and easy to use. You'll help the technology team develop our core MailChimp.com product (over 40,000 users and growing fast). We're a PHP/MySQL shop but what's more important to us is that you have experience working in multiple languages on large code bases and are adept at managing interdependencies in code. Of course, you must also love monkeys.
Essential Duties:
You'll work with our product development team to build new functionality into our product. You'll also work with our customer service team to resolve issues as they arise.
Required Skills:
- Passion for always learning new things and expanding on new ideas
- Able to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP environment
- JavaScript, XML, and AJAX
MailChimp Geeks

Required Skills:
- Ability to handle online chats with multiple people at once
- Well-versed in the subtleties of chat/email etiquette
- Superduper multi-tasking skills
- Fast reader, fast learner
- Web power user (you can scan and answer questions on twitter, getsatisfaction, message boards, email, etc)
- HTML coding and/or design skills a plus, but not required (we'll train you, young Jedi)
Marketing Manager
Looking for an experienced, energetic, creative marketing manager to help us with our world domination plans (shhhh, don't tell anybody about the world domination part).
Essential Duties:
We're nerds who come up with tons of ideas. We need someone who can help us follow through on them.
Requirements:
- Must be very, very web savvy. Show us your blog, your website, your twitter feed, etc.
- ROI-focused. Experience running PPC campaigns, a/b testing, analyzing traffic reports
- Branding experience (not Photoshop experience)
- Demerits if you send us a Word .Doc attachment.

Deliverability Engineer
Do you believe that achieving great deliverability is all about schmoozing with ISPs? Sigh. Don't apply within. Instead, we're looking for a tech-savvy, security-focused spam hater with abuse desk experience who can help us police the MailChimp network, safeguard our reputation, and help our customers do good.
Essential Duties:
- Work with engineers to optimize servers, and the product interface for better deliverability
- Monitor system deliverability across multiple data centers in multiple countries, respond to issues as they arise
Requirements:
- Experience in a related abuse desk or deliverability environment
- Must hate schmoozing, but still play nice around humans
- Looking for someone who believes the world actually is composed of ones and zeros, and with enough experimentation, can be fixed.
- Programming experience a big plus.
