Open Positions at MailChimp
MailChimp is a do-it-yourself email marketing service based in Atlanta, Georgia that serves over 15,000 companies worldwide, from American Airlines and Mozilla Firefox, to Chumby and Dee Snider's House of Hair (I wanna rock!). We're a self-funded, scalable, self-serve web app that's growing fast, and we're looking for creative, ambitious people who love change (and monkeys).
Working at MailChimp is like working for a start-up, except we're 8 years old, and have been profitable from day one. We're located in midtown Atlanta, just outside of Georgia Tech (photos from around our office). We pay well, provide health, dental and disability insurance, and free bananas.

Web Designer
Summary of Job:
You'll be in charge of keeping our website up to date, and more importantly, working with our marketing team to optimize the site for conversions. Must have a strong design background, be able to code with your eyes shut, and be fascinated by conversion rates and analytics. We're looking for someone with a strong background or interest in optimizing websites for conversions. Did we mention conversions? This is the kind of environment where you can tweak your design a little, and see the results you made to the bottom line instantly.
Required Skills:
- You can design and code a website from the ground up, then keep it running like a well oiled machine.
- We can tell you, "we need a landing page for this campaign" and you can get it done today, with two versions hooked into Google's website optimizer.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Be able to hack a little at JavaScript, DHTML, and PHP without breaking stuff. Or, at least be able to defend yourself from angry programmers if you do.
Contact Ben Chestnut. Must have an online portfolio of websites you've worked on, built, or maintained. No worries if you've never done anything large scale. We'll teach you that stuff. Need to see a strong design background. Bonus points if you run through this website now and tell me everything we've done wrong with it.
